Overview

This event will examine the institutional and financial resources allocated to Russia’s import substitution campaign. Richard Connolly and Philip Hanson, authors of the Chatham House research paper ‘Import Substitution and Economic Sovereignty in Russia’, will analyse the successes and failures of this drive and discuss possible future trends. They will offer brief introductory remarks, followed by an hour for questions and discussion.
