Internal Displacement in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq: Impact, Response and Options

This workshop will bring together civil society, academics, international NGOs, UN agencies, representatives of displaced communities, and policy-makers to discuss the situation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the KRI. It will seek to analyse the social, political and economic impact of the IDP crisis for the KRI and to consider options for improving the effectiveness of the response at the local, national and international levels.
This workshop is co-hosted by Chatham House’s Middle East and North Africa Programme and the Institute of Regional and International Studies (IRIS) at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani.
