The panel will discuss the marketing tactics of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and the diverse methods of recruitment boosting the group’s rapid growth. They will consider its command of social media platforms, its ‘blockbuster’-style videos and glossy propaganda magazine, and how young Muslims are responding to this messaging. They will also look at how the group leads, manages and finances itself and what this means for its chances of survival and expansion.
