Korean Politics and Foreign Policy under Park Geun-hye
Jin Park, President, Asia Future Institute
Chair: John Nilsson-Wright, Head, Asia Programme, Chatham House
The speaker will argue that the Park Geun-hye government should introduce greater inclusive political leadership and a more proactive foreign policy to cope with the challenges it is facing for its remaining term: intense internal political competition in a new political landscape, as well as the persistent security threat posed by the DPRK. Relations with the United States, Japan and China will continue to be influenced by geopolitical relations both in the region, and by those countries’ respective domestic political developments.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
