As candidates begin to declare their intention to run in the 2016 presidential campaign, David Brooks will consider the essential characteristics needed in America's next leader. Drawing on his examination of the values that lead to public and private achievement in his recent book, The Road to Character, he will explore the qualities that define successful political leaders.
