Chair: Paola Totaro, President, Foreign Press Association
Global oil prices have fallen sharply over the past seven months, leading to significant revenue shortfalls in many energy exporting nations - while many consumers are paying less for heat and petrol. A panel of experts will discuss the implications of this shift, including geopolitics and oil in the MENA region including the Islamic State’s reliance on oil; the rationale behind the Saudi oil policy and Russia and Europe’s energy security.
This event will be held in conjunction with the Foreign Press Association.
