David Heath MP, UK Trade Envoy to Angola and Nigeria
Chair: John Flynn, Political Adviser, Chevron

Overview

Angola and Nigeria enjoy significant international interest as dominant regional economies with vast untapped potential beyond extractive resources. Diversified private sector expansion and increased foreign direct investment are therefore seen as priorities in national development plans. The UK has identified both nations as strategic partners and, in an increasingly competitive environment, is seeking to boost bilateral trade and investment for mutual growth.

David Heath MP, the prime minister’s newly appointed trade envoy to Angola and Nigeria, will discuss the UK’s trade strategy in these two pivotal African economies, and highlight priority areas for developing partnerships.
