Refugees in the Middle East: Challenges and Opportunities
With the number of refugees in the Middle East and North Africa region swelling, it is becoming increasingly difficult to manage the strain on host countries and refugee populations. Speakers at this roundtable event will discuss the impact that refugee migrations have on the economy and politics in host countries, and the mechanisms put in place to protect refugees. Participants will consider what implications this has on territorial borders, identity and wider regional security.
