Risk and Resilience in Asia
Asia is a significant driver of international economic growth and has proved resilient in the face of economic volatility. However, it is facing rapidly evolving economic risks. Its ongoing success in navigating both internal and external risks will be critical to its own economic performance and to the stability of the global economy. At the same time, regional policy cooperation and safety net mechanisms are untested in crisis circumstances, and relationships with the IMF and other international institutions have proven complex.
Barry Sterland will explore the range of risks facing the region, and policy options for improving the region's risk management and resilience.
