Scottish External Affairs Post-Brexit: Between Holyrood, Westminster and Brussels
Three months after the UK’s EU referendum result, there is still little clarity on the future relationship between the UK and the EU, in particular the role the devolved administrations will play in the Brexit negotiations. What will be Scotland’s role in negotiating Brexit? How will exiting the European Union have an impact on Scottish external affairs?
Participants will discuss the main risks and opportunities involved in negotiating Brexit for Scotland, including potential future models for the relationship between Scotland and the EU and Scottish trade relations.
This workshop is part of a series on ‘the interrelationship of UK and EU foreign policy: costs and benefits’ led by Professor Richard Whitman and organized with the support of the European Social and Research Council (ESRC) under the auspices of its UK in a Changing Europe initiative.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
