Second Meeting of the New Petroleum Producers Discussion Group
Little attention has been paid to the specific situation of new oil and gas producers. Such countries face a particular set of challenges, as they move to draft contract terms, regulations and laws to direct investment behaviour in their country, and set up institutions to manage the actors involved in their nascent petroleum sector. They may also face challenges related to limited institutional capacity or lack of trained staff.
This workshop will provide a forum for knowledge exchange and help emerging producers think critically about the various policy options available during the first steps of exploration and development or when restructuring their sector.
This event is the second in a series of four, as part of the New Petroleum Producers Discussion Group project.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
