Overview

State-society dialogue in Saudi Arabia is one of the most contested issues in the country today, and yet very little is known about this process. The speakers will provide an overview of the ongoing national dialogue process and reflect on the extent to which the aspirations of contemporary Saudi society can be met through a dialogue process. Discussion will focus on the socio-political shifts taking place in Saudi Arabia, including on issues such as women’s empowerment, employment, education and the role of social media.
