Staying the Course in Sierra Leone: Socio-Economic Challenges and International Engagement After Ebola
As the Ebola outbreak reportedly moves towards its endgame, Sierra Leone is expected to now face a long battle with the socio-economic effects of the disease. An already fragile national health infrastructure has been shattered, and the World Bank predicts that Sierra Leone's GDP will fall by almost 20 per cent in 2015 as a result of the virus.
At this event, Peter West will consider the socio-economic impact and political ramifications of Ebola and will discuss how the response of the UK and the international community will shape engagements with the country going forward.
Attendance of this event is by invitation only.
