Overview

Africa has the fastest population growth and hosts the largest youth population in the world. The fastest growing African economies have not yet delivered adequate jobs, and population growth is outstripping GDP growth. With high levels of youth unemployment a current and future challenge, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have a critical role to play in job creation, generating around 80 per cent of jobs on the continent.

This event will examine how to support SMEs and enhance diaspora investment, looking at mechanisms for improved information sharing and coordination between businesses and diaspora.

This event is held in partnership with AFFORD.
