Overview

The speaker will argue that Taiwan has played a responsible role in East Asia by maintaining and promoting regional peace and stability. He will discuss Taiwan’s contribution to East Asian security through its support for cross-strait rapprochement, the East China Sea Peace Initiative, regional cooperation in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, non-proliferation and missile technology control, and the security of sea lines of communication.
