Third Meeting of the New Petroleum Producers Discussion Group
Comprising a training day and a high-level discussion group meeting, this three-day event seeks to continue the New Petroleum Producers Discussion Group's influential series of meetings on how emerging producers of oil and gas can best address governance challenges facing their emerging industries. In a new context of low oil prices, the challenges faced by new producers are greater than ever before. This global, and stakeholder-led, discussion group offers emerging producers and the advisory groups who guide them, a forum to discuss common challenges and strategies to navigate the first steps of the development of the petroleum sector. The objective is to tailor governance advice to the context that emerging producers operate in: uncertainty about the size of the resource base, low petroleum sector experience and low capacity.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
