Ukraine has struggled to unlock its development potential for decades, never mind the two and half years since the open conflict with Russia. Economic modernization and growth are impeded by overregulation, corruption and lack of accessible finance. Since the Euromaidan of 2014 however, new possibilities have opened up. One particularly promising approach is “impact investment”, which aims to deliver a measureable positive social or environmental impact through specifically targeted capital investment. The Western NIS Enterprise Fund, a $150 million regional private equity endowment pioneered this new approach in Ukraine in 2015.

This event will look at the state of impact investment in Ukraine, its advantages and the challenges that it faces. Speakers will include funders and beneficiaries who will share views on how and why impact investment is making a difference – and how to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

This event is possible thanks to the generous support of the Western NIS Enterprise Fund.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
