Following the election of President Donald Trump, how is the US perceived by the global public and how does this impact the country’s international relations?
Pew Research Center have undertaken a new study across 38 countries of public attitudes towards the US. This event will analyse the results of that study to offer insights into the global perception of Trump, current US domestic policy, and America’s role in the international order.
What is the global confidence in Trump compared with other leaders like Vladimir Putin? How do people around the world feel about Trump’s policies on climate, the Mexican border wall, trade and migrants entering the US? And who is now perceived to be the leading world economic power - the US, Europe or China?
