On 16 April 2017, Turkey will vote on a constitutional amendment that would see a significant increase in the powers of the president. The referendum has proven deeply divisive domestically, as well as leading to diplomatic rows with Germany and the Netherlands over campaign events among the Turkish diaspora abroad.
The speakers will discuss the implications of the constitutional referendum for Turkish democracy, political stability and economic prosperity.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
