Ukraine Ahead of Parliamentary Elections
Kataryna Wolczuk, Reader in Politics and International Studies, Centre for Russian and East European Studies, University of Birmingham
This event will analyse the internal political situation in Ukraine, where President Poroshenko has announced parliamentary elections for 26 October. Ukraine's serious economic problems, the role of oligarchs in the political system, and Kyiv's relations with the regions are among the issues that the next cabinet will have to pay attention to. Dr Wolczuk will offer her thoughts on how the situation is likely to develop in the short to medium term.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
