A United Europe: The Role of a Continental Partnership

17 November 2016 - 8:15am to 9:30am

Chatham House, London

Dr Guntram Wolff, Director, Bruegel

How should EU member states approach their future relationship with the UK? In this session, the speaker will discuss the idea of a post-Brexit ‘continental partnership’ between the UK and the EU . In particular, he will outline a model in which the UK participates in goods, services and capital mobility, based on a new system of shared intergovernmental decision-making and enforcement mechanisms with the EU.

This is part of a series run by the Europe Programme on ‘Britain and Europe: The Post-Referendum Agenda’.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
