As Venezuela’s economic crisis deepens amid falling oil prices, its healthcare system is nearing collapse and faces a chronic shortage of medicines, equipment and staff.

A team from Channel 4’s Unreported World will show their latest film Find My Kid Drugs which follows a family’s door-to-door search for medicines for their severely ill daughter and a doctor who wants to expose the severe shortage of medicines and supplies that he says is costing lives. Against this backdrop, the panel will examine the roots of Venezuela’s health and economic crisis and consider the international response.

This event is held in association with Channel 4.

This event will be followed by a reception.
