Director's briefing: Global energy outlooks this winter and beyond

Shell’s Chief Economist Dr Mallika Ishwaran and Citi’s Head of Commodities Max Leyton discuss the global energy crisis.

Partner and major corporate event, Director's Briefing Invitation only
8 December 2022 — 8:00AM TO 9:15AM
Chatham House

Hosted by Creon Butler, Director of Chatham House’s Global Economy and Finance Programme, this Director’s briefing is an opportunity to discuss the global energy outlooks against the backdrop of soaring energy costs.

While the head of the International Energy Agency (IEA) recently stated that the world is in its ‘first truly global energy crisis’, this event will explore the different factors behind the global energy crisis. What has been the impact of surging energy prices and inflation? In what ways can supply dependency be addressed? Can progress towards long-term net zero targets be maintained? And what will be the economic impact to consumers around the world this winter?

This event is only open to Chatham House Partners and Major Corporate Members as well as selected giving circles of Chatham House. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Linda Bedford.
