Having jointly led a United Nations Security Council Mission to West and Eastern Africa in early June, Sir Emyr will discuss the situation on the ground. He will specifically speak of the challenges of peacekeeping in Africa, how the UN is supporting the Africa Union to protect those most in need and the challenges of implementing the Responsibility to Protect.
