Martin Wight's Intellectual World

12 December 2007 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Chatham House, London

Professor Robert Jackson, Department of Political Science, Boston University
Chair: Professor Christopher Coker

This lecture examines the relationship between idea and context in world politics and asks: what does it reveal about our own intellectual world? The event will be followed by an informal reception.

The Martin Wight Memorial Lecture commemorates the life of the former Chatham House researcher and Professor of History at the University of Sussex. It is given in successive years at Sussex University, the London School of Economics, and Chatham House. The subject of the annual lecture is to reflect the breadth of Martin Wight's interest in history and international relations.
