Dr Mustafa Barghouthi, Member of the Palestinian Parliament



Dr Barghouthi will explore an independent perspective on the Annapolis conference and the attendant process. Dr Barghouthi is a member of the Palestinian parliament. He was formerly Minister of Information under the 2007 National Unity Government and a presidential candidate in the 2005 elections.

As a physician and a social, political, human rights and peace activist, Dr Barghouthi is General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative, a Palestinian political movement which campaigns for the development of Palestinian civil society and grassroots democracy.
