Mr Banny was Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire from December 2005 until April 2007 through a key period in the country's attempts to end its divisions. A former Governor of the Central Bank of West African States, Mr Banny has a distinguished background as an economist and statesman. As Côte d'Ivoire prepares for elections Mr Banny will offer his perspective on priorities for the country at this crucial juncture.
