Overview

The inauguration of President Barack Obama is expected to herald substantial change in the United States' international outlook and policies. The speaker will discuss what changes to expect in the new administration's policy towards the Asia-Pacific region.

Mathew Goodman is Managing Director of Stonebridge International in Washington DC and was an advisor on Asia policy to the Obama campaign and transition team. In addition to working for the National Security Council he has previous experience with Goldman Sachs and at the US Treasury.

This meeting will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
