Imam Umair Ahmed Ilyasi, President, All-India Organization of Imams of Mosques



India is home to at least 160 million Muslims and may well represent the world's largest Muslim community. Imam Ilyasi will outline the current state of inter-faith relationships within India and the role of faith leaders in spreading key messages to their communities on issues including poverty and social justice, climate change and terrorism.

Moulana Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi is the President of the All-India Imam Organization, the religious and spiritual guide for Muslims in India and the largest Imam Organization in the world.

This roundtable discussion will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
