Professor Juwono Sudarsono, Minster of Defence, Indonesia



Having recently completed national legislative elections, and now preparing for direct presidential elections, this talk will provide a timely update and overview of Indonesia's political and security situation.

Professor Juwono Sudarsono has served as Indonesia's Minister of Defence since 2004 and is the country's first civilian defense minister. During his career he has also served as Vice Governor of The National Defence College, Minister of State for the Environment, Minister for Education and Culture and as Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2003-2004.

This talk will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
