Overview

The speaker will discuss the current status of China's Communist Party and what the next decade holds for the Party.

Dr Pei is a senior associate in the China Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He is the author of 'From Reform to Revolution: The Demise of Communism in China and the Soviet Union' and 'China's Trapped Transition: The Limits of Developmental Autocracy'.

Dr Brown is a Senior Fellow of the Chatham House Asia Programme. His forthcoming book 'Enemies and Friends: The Past, Present and Future of the Communist Party of China' will be published this July.

Fabrice Pothier is director of Carnegie Europe, the newly established foreign policy forum for senior policy makers, experts, and leading journalists based in Brussels.
