Pakistan - Why It Matters To the UK and What We Can Do To Help

Chatham House, London

Participants

Robert Brinkley, British High Commissioner to Pakistan

Overview

With at least 800,000 British citizens of Pakistani origin, Pakistan is as much a domestic as a foreign issue for the UK. Some three-quarters of the terrorism investigations in the UK have links to Pakistan. The serious threats from extremist groups in Pakistan, economic pressures and political instability all contribute to a complex and difficult mix.
