Overview

This event will launch the book, 'From Global Apartheid to Global Village: Africa and the United Nations'. The book examines the inequitable power relations between the rich North and poor South in the politics within the UN's principal organs; in peacekeeping and human rights; and in socio-economic development, centred on the efforts of sixteen UN specialised agencies, programmes, and funds.
