The Africa Programme and Minority Rights Group International are holding this meeting to discuss the current situation in Darfur.

The meeting will focus on the root causes of the conflict, the role of ethnicity in the conflict and a discussion of how the international community can best take action to prevent further human rights abuses and a major humanitarian emergency.

The meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss the UN Missions report findings.
