The President will discuss the key environmental issues that the Latin America region now face from water management, mining and oil exploration, to energy security and efforts towards the use of renewable energies. He will consider different policy options and their implications for the environmental future of the region. Rafael Correa-Delgado, an economist, has been President of Ecuador since January 2007.
