Overview

Roy Love, an academic economist with a long term specialist interest in the Horn of Africa, will introduce his briefing paper on the economic drivers of regional conflict and co-operation. The paper focuses on the important linkages among the countries of the Horn and will highlight the formal and informal economic activities that engage with other drivers of regional conflict, yet have the potential to be harnessed for more peaceful and sustainable development. It is the first in a series of planned papers on this theme to be produced by the Horn of Africa Project.
