Coinciding with the adoption of a new military doctrine, this seminar will look at the future of Russia's military as the government seeks to modernise its military and reform its armed forces. Recent talks on acquiring a Mistral class warship from France have also thrown the spotlight on Russia's arms transfers and industrial-military complex.

What is the current state of Russia's military? How likely is it that military reform will succeed - and is Russia capable of competing in the production of advanced military technology?

Sessions will cover: Russia's New Military Doctrine; Russia's Military Reform; Russia's Industrial-Military Complex; and Russia and the International Arms Trade.

Attendance is strictly by invitation only.
