Nation Speaking Peace Unto Nation: The BBC's Global Mission

11 May 2010 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Chatham House, London

Mark Thompson, Director-General, BBC

'Nation shall speak peace unto Nation' is etched in stone at the entrance to Broadcasting House. In the digital age, when citizens can communicate to the rest of the world via a simple click on the internet, is this global purpose still valid?

Mark Thompson, the BBC's Director-General since 2005, will join us to discuss the BBC's domestic and international role and answer your questions.

Registration from 18:00. The talk will start at 18.30, followed by a reception at 19.30.

This event is by invitation only.
