Resolving Land Use Change: Can Biofuels be Part of the Solution for Climate Change?

15 Apr 2010 - 00:00 to 16 Apr 2010 - 00:00

Chatham House, London

Energy, Environment and Resources Department

Overview

Co-organised by Chatham House, the Porter Alliance, and the Energy Biosciences Institute, this workshop aims to provide a forum for discussion of the potential land use change impacts of biofuel (bioenergy) systems at the regional to global scales; clarity on the main areas of uncertainty in methodologies and a roadmap to resolving those uncertainties (where possible); and practical/workable solutions to those impacts and therefore as substantive tools for climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Attendance is strictly by invitation only.
