Illegal Logging Update and Stakeholder Consultation (16)

This event will discuss updates on all the latest initiatives, research and developments in the international debate around the control of illegal logging and trade in illegal timber. Sessions will include updates on the EU's Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) initiative and in particular, progress in central Africa, Ghana and Indonesia; discussions of the interaction between FLEGT and the emerging REDD (reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation) regime, and China, together with research, country and private sector updates. The meeting is open to all, and there is no charge for admission. However, pre-registration is essential, and you must register by the end of Friday 18 June to be guaranteed admission.
