Overview

In the morning, a small roundtable discussion will tackle the regional response to Yemen's combined economic challenges, addressing aid pledges, inward investment and labour market access for Yemeni workers. This will be held under Chatham House Rule.

In the evening there will be a public panel event, 'Yemen on the Brink: The Regional Response to Security and Stability'. The discussion will focus on the al-Qaeda threat, political reconciliation efforts, government reform, and economic development in Yemen.

Both events form part of Chatham House's Yemen Forum, which has been established to raise awareness, share expertise and support policy-makers and build a specialist global network focused on Yemen.

This event is jointly organized by Chatham House and the Brookings Doha Center, Doha.

Attendance is by invitation only.
