China's Foreign Policy and Sino-UK Relations

With a new UK government and changes in the international environment, the speaker will offer his perspective on Sino-UK relations within the larger context of China's international relations.
Mr Lu, a graduate from Beijing Foreign Studies University, was the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria from 1995 to 1999, before serving as Vice Minister in the Foreign Affairs Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. He was Ambassador to Sweden between 2004-08, before becoming a member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Group in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and member of the National Committee on the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
