The Arctic region, long at the margins of human history, is becoming a focal point for the key environmental, geopolitical and economic questions of the twenty-first century. What different state and commercial interests are at stake, both for Arctic countries and for non-Arctic countries such as China? Are current governance regimes sufficient or will they need to be supplemented? Will the future of the Arctic be characterized by competition or cooperation?
The Question and Answer session will be held off the record.
