Overview

This conference will take stock of the current political and economic situation in Yemen. Panellists will discuss progress on the domestic reform agenda since the creation of the 'Friends of Yemen' in January 2010, discuss the regional response and debate the international policy framework, including the humanitarian agenda.

The sessions will assess Yemen's economic challenges and its progress on governance reforms in the context of the country's transition to a post-oil economy; the dynamics within the wider political landscape; development assistance and humanitarian aid; and the security situation along with the evolving framework for multilateral engagement.
