The Nigeria Police Force is recognized as one of the weakest institutions in Nigeria. It is known for bribery, corruption and abuse rather than for law enforcement. Efforts to initiate difficult but crucial reforms have gained little traction in the past. This event will explore and explain the nature of the challenges the police force faces. It will consider how these challenges might be overcome and the impacts of international efforts to assist.
