Overview

Problems in Darfur have received less attention in recent months as attention has shifted to the referendum on the status of south Sudan but there remain very real challenges. The peace process has yet to produce a lasting and comprehensive settlement for the conflict in Darfur and humanitarian agencies warn that huge challenges still remain.

Dr Ghazi, a key advisor to President Bashir, will present the Government of Sudan's new strategy for the Darfur Region.

Attendance is strictly by invitation only.
