Overview

The recent National Security Strategy placed cyber attacks as a Tier One threat to the United Kingdom, but how much is understood about it and how should this challenge be met? What constitutes cyber warfare and how should tackling it be incorporated into national strategy?

The Minister of State for the Armed Forces Nick Harvey MP will address the challenges of cyberspace as it relates to the changing character of warfare. He will expand on recent announcements made in the National Security Strategy and the Strategic Defence and Security Review.

His speech will be followed by a panel discussion with Dr Paul Cornish chaired by Gordon Corera.
