Overview

Europe and the United States can no longer rely on Middle East oil exports as the bulk of energy demand and investment shifts towards Asia, says a new Chatham House study. Author John Mitchell will explain what this means for international trade, energy security and political influence in the west. Paul Stevens who recently published a report on 'The Shale Gas Revolution' will discuss the impact of the unconventional gas phenomenon on these trends.
