Pakistan: The Conflict between the Executive and Judiciary

The independent judiciary of Pakistan is embroiled in a conflict with the government over several issues relating to legal, moral and financial aspects of governance. The speaker will examine whether the government is defying the courts as alleged by the opposition and the media, or if the judiciary is overreaching itself. He will also discuss future prospects for democracy in Pakistan.
