Dr Westcott will discuss the scope of the European External Action Service (EEAS) role and its work so far. He will consider the potential of the EEAS to impact and enhance EU-Africa relations.
Dr Westcott was appointed Managing Director for Africa in the European External Action Service on February 1, 2011. Prior to this, Dr Westcott was British High Commissioner to Ghana and Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo and Niger from 2008 to 2011.
